Beginner's luck!
Back before Christmas a friend in Florida was asking me about flying to the rockies with her daughter over the holidays. I took a peek and found some good prices on Northwest, told her to sign up for WP and all that.
On her return trip she had a DEN-MEM leg, and it was pretty full (dunno why) so she asked if they needed volunteers. She didn't think they took her up on it, but in actuality, they gave away her seat and her daughter's seat in coach... and then stuck them in F! ^
She was surprised, and her daughter was delighted and won't stop talking about it.
So now I just have to persuade her to keep flying NW so they can sit up there all the time...

Certainly you've trained your friend well to ask the right questions at the right time....seems like at natural FTer-to-be!
