I must be very lucky - I only ordered them 1 week ago and got them in the mail yesterday!

success this year upgrading without producing cert?
 
So I left my AS u/g certs back in New York and I'm taking an AS flight next week (SAN-SEA). What are my chances of calling and getting the upgrade just by showing the elite card? Anybody have specific experiences this year?

Has any NW Silvers been able to use the AS upgrades for NW Plats successfully?

I got mine in a timely fashion. I'd call back up and see if they've been sent. (I think some people throw the certs away because they think they're junk mail.)

I dont know about any silvers, but I gave my platinum certs to 2 friends of mine who were non-elite. They were upgraded at the ticket counter, no questions asked. It certainly doesnt hurt to try.

I have given my plat uprgrades to both silver elites & non-elites and never a problem upgrading with them (assuming an upgrade is available). AS agents never seem to try to verify status and just take the certificates at face value.

By the way, my experience is that if you call for the upgrade, they often don't collect the certs when you check in or board... ;)
