idine...how long does it take, and how does it work at the restaurant
I've registered all of the cc's, have an account, login, etc.
When I go to one of the restaurants, do I have to do anything....advise them of idine, etc? Or just hand them the card and pay?
How long does it take that meal to show up on their site? And then, how long B4 I see the miles on NWA?
(I dined on Monday night, and haven't seen either yet).
Thanks!

No need to tell them at the restaurant. Just pay with your registered card. About a week later, you will get an email saying something like "Thanks for using iDine, XXXX points will be deposited in you Worldperks account". I would guess it takes a month to show on your world perk account. It is not fast, but it is easy.

I've never gotten an email. Strange. But, yes, you don't have to do anything. The points just show up automatically. In fact, several times in the past, I have found points that just magically appeared. I then went back and tracked down where I ate without realizing it was a participant.

Just a note...
If you have your email in your idine profile, you may get the confirmation email mentioned above.
I guess my profile is not set up with Worldperks because I do not get those emails though I do with UA Idine!
There seems to be no rhyme or reason to whether it takes 2, 4 or 6 weeks to eventually post...guessing it has to do with the restaurant's posting process.
It is really a good program! Perhaps the most important thing is to check the web site frequently for listed restaurants as they do come and go often.

The length of time to post is obviously airline specfic and NWA is very slow ( about the slowest of all -dine partners) and I have had to chase down missing miles even after they have posted on the Worldperks i-dine site.
Mile creditted to AA takes about 10 days max to post.

You know, all of this info is on the Idine website in the T&C. In fact, you have to agree to the T&C before you can register a card. Did you even read the T&C?

IMHO in wasn't that out of line. It isn't that hard to read the T&C on a website or search for previous posts. If more people did this we would have SOOOOOOOO many duplicate questions.
To add to the answers I have found that you get credit to your WP acct on the 6th 7th or 8th with the credits back dated to the date you ate out.

I talked to an IDINE CSR today and he told me that the mile reports are sent to the airlines on the first Friday of every month. I can't testify to the accuracy of his claim, as my first dine isn't scheduled to post to Worldperks until August 1st.

Again not quite true, I ate at a program participant on 7/18 and the miles posted on AA.com 2 or 3 days ago.

I agree that there has been some valuable information posted here that one would certainly not find in the T & C. Asking for other board members' actual experiences to gauge against what we are told in *many* programs T & Cs is *often* where Flyer Talk is most beneficial.
If you've read the T &C for Idine, and feel like you have all the knowledge you need, why even click on this thread at all (the topic is quite explicit about what will be found herein). Just pass on it altogether. Are people capable of being polite?
