Northwest Airlines had a system-wide October load factor of 78.5%, 3.4 points higher than in the same period last year. Northwest flew 5.67 billion revenue passenger miles, down 3.4% compared to 5.87 billion revenue passenger miles. The company had 7.22 billion available seat miles in October, down 7.6% compared to 7.82 billion available seat miles.

A load factor of more than 78% in October is pretty impressive.
By comparison, Delta has a load factor of 72.9% for October 2003.
