TCV Usage

Hello, I recently was bumped from a dtw-rsw flight and received 300 dollar TCVs per person for a total of 900 dollars. On the TCV, it states that you must called Northwest Airlines in order to redeem the voucher. So I've been looking for a decent fare from dtw-nas for the christmas break and have received nothing but garbage by calling the northwest airlines reservation line.($585 per ticket) Now i've looked at worry-free vacations, which apparently is owned by Northwest, and the exact same flight on the exact same dates is around 340 a person. Any thoughts as to how to get around this rule and/or not have to pay an arm and a leg? Thanks.

Worry-Free vacations provides consolidated fares... TCV can only be applied against standard fares -- excluding webspecials...

You can try using a PD cert to price it out and take it to an airport and have them ticket it there. I haven't done this, but I hear its possible & I plan on doing it in May...if you try this, let me know if it works...

Vouchers can be applied to NW WorldVacations packages - might want to check that.
