Giftcertificates.com question...
I've searched but haven't found a thread on this topic.
Would it be possible to purchase a gift certificate (GC) from giftcertificates.com and then with that GC purchase another GC from a NW partner, then use the GC to make an actual purchase from the NW partner.
Example:
You purchse a $25 GC from giftcertificates.com (3x 1$), then use that to purchase a GC from Eddie Bauer (3x $1, although until 09/03/03 you get double for the back-to-school promo so 6x $1). Then make an actual purchase at Eddie Bauer using the GC (6x $1).
So for $25 (plus $2-$5 S&H - actually this may be higher on the final purchase) you would get around 375 miles.
I'm not interested in this as a mileage making scheme as the $ per mile is quite high... I was just thinking about this to maximize miles to do some normal shopping.
(Also, I am not really sure if you can purcahse a GC with a giftcertificate.com GC).
Any thoughts or suggestions?
(editated to add caveat about S&H)
