Does anyone know if the following strategy would work with this specific merchant?

Purchase a $50 gift card @ Supercertificates via wpm for 150 miles, use certificate (plus extra $20) to purchage a bag @ ebags during double points promotion (8 miles per $) through wpm for 560 miles (while using internet coupon code for $10 off)

I know this topic has been brought up before, but can't find the thread, is it possible to double dip, plus use a coupon code?

Generally speaking this double-dip or triple-dip strategy should work fine, and I've done it several times.

1) go to the merchant's entry page on Worldperks Mall and read the fine print for any restrictions on using gift certificates. If none--

2) go to the giftcerticates.com page on the Mall and if the merchant is on the list for "emailable" certs, buy one.

3) go back to the Mall merchant page, enter your Worldperks number & shop. If you have an internet discount coupon, enter it during checkout, usually on the same checkout page as entering the gift certificate. Both will then be credited before you hit the "buy" button, and miles will be credited for the final net payment.

That's triple-dipping. A few merchants (Officemax, Good Guys, Sharper Image) prevent it by not publishing coupon codes, instead they usually make cash discounts available only thru their own special web links. You can use their link for the discount, or the Mall link for the miles, can't do both.

Note that most of the double-miles merchants are also on the list for earning credits in Fly Free Faster. The promotions overlap for the full month of August. Quadruple-dipping, anyone?
