Great FA

Returning from Italy yesterday on the AMS-MEM flight, I was seated in 29. Talked to a wonderful FA. There were a fair number of children on the flight and the FA call button was going off constantly. The FA talked about how she would talk with the children and explain how to use the video control. (I said I thought a lot of the call button going off was due to bad design--it's easy to hit the button with your leg.) She also mentioned that there were some irritable children on the flight. She had asked their parents what was going on and they said the kids were hungry, so she gave them several bags of pretzels. We had flown up from FCO with a family group--two little children, two parents, four grandparents. They got to FCO at 8 am, horrible food on the KLM flight some sort of pasta with an odd sauce, only 50 minutes to get from C at Schiphol to E, no time to pick up a snack.

Yes, she is taking the buy out.

I flew NW #57 as well on Wednesday of this week. Great, great flight attendants. I even wrote TTU to commend them. The whole crew was great, but the ones in WBC were fantastic.

You can really tell on the international flights when it is a MEM based crew vs. others. I fly that MEM flight a few times a year vs. through DTW or MSP. The MEM FAs are awesome on that flight.

I agree that it's far too easy to bump the buttons on the controllers - especially if you have anything in your L front pocket (keys, wallet, phone, whatever).
