upgrading from coach
I was walking through the awards charts on www.nwa.com and noticed the off peak and rulebuster differences, but over on right hand side it had upgrades from both coach full fare, 12.5K, and select coach seats, 25K. I tried to find out what booking classes of service elligible for the 25K upgrade, but couldn't. Anyone have an idea which fares categories, i.e. V, K class, etc. elligible for the upgrade from coach to bus. class?

For Domestic Upgrades, Full Coach would be considered a "Y" or "B" fare, Select Coach would be the rest, dependant on what the fare rules specify.
For International Upgrades, Full Coach would be considered a "Y" fare, Select Coach would be "B" and "M" (to Asia excl. China)

M class would not be upgradeable for SEA-HKG. Only Y and B class are eligible for upgrades to China/HKG

Is this a relatively new policy? My last international flight (transatlantic)on NW was about a year and a half ago, but I upgraded to business on a fare of about $750, so I doubt that was a Y or B.
