Super Range? And why would they have a short range? Stretched sounds more like it. But why not just go with the A321 then?

The "SR" designator is used on A320's that are overwater equipped, with life vests at each passenger and crew seat, infant life vests, survival kits, and a transmitter.

The "SR" designation was on the safety brochure in the seat pocket (the one they ask us to take out and read at the beginning of the flight).

Sorry: I forgot to add in my above post that the SR refers to the "S"lide/"R"afts with which the overwater A320's are equipped.
