Inconsistency of Class Availability Tool

Inconsistency of Class Availability Tool

Mrs. Yogimax is flying SFO-MSP-LGA on Wednesday.

The Class Availability Tool shows P1,F1 for NW 360, when connecting with NW 610 to Newark.

However, it shows P3,F1 for the same NW 360, when connecting with NW 516 to LGA.

Can someone explain?

1) This is not a NW forum issue. It should really be in TravelBuzz or the Mileage Run forum.

2) Do some research on "trip logic" and "married segments". The results may be enlightening. In short, it's not inconsistent in the sense that what you're seeing is an intended effect of revenue management.

Why Mileage Run? Mrs. Yogimax would be surprised to know her trip to visit our daughter is a MR

If you look at each segment seperatly you will see the issue. Below you can see that the SFO-MSP leg has 3 open F seats. The MSP-EWR has no open F seats and MSP-LGA has 8 open F seats. You get the lowest number for your pair as the system is looking at it as a single journey. Hope that helps.
