NW miles on a CO codeshare

Do you know if NW miles can be received on a CO flight which is operated by Virgin Atlantic ?

The answer to the first question is a simple NO. I don't think NW code shares with Virgin Atlantic. You will earn NW miles only if it is 'operated' by a NW partner listed in this page:

On my trip to London last year I asked the same question. Northwest responded by saying that I could not earn or redeem miles(for the upgrade) on the CO codeshare with Virgin. I was upset because I wanted to ride in Upper Class. Guess i'll have to join OP.

As Western Airlines once said:

Here's the rule of thumb:
Look on the outside of the plane before you board. If the airline operating the flight is not a partner of your desired program, you won't get miles, even on a codeshare with a partner to a valid destination.

yevlesh2 - I know for a fact that you cannot. Tried last year as I didn't know it was Virgin metal and was denied.
