Typical NW
After reading the other airline threads about the paucity of upgrades, I received an email (72 hours ahead of the flight) that I have been upgraded to FIRST CLASS automatically on all outbound segments of my trip. Everytime I think of moving my business to another carrier, they do something wonderful like give me automatic upgrades (which I have received about 85% of the time).
Now only if they had those AC outlets in WBC! And a direct flight for CMH to ORD, DCA and LGA (or EWR). But I keep forgetting that "one size fits all" is part of the reason that United filed for Chap 11(and probably American and Delta in the near future).

Yeah, it would be really nice if NW had direct flights from MEM to BWI, or MEM to Spokane, etc., just personally speaking.
However, they treat me so well that I will keep doing the 3 segments thing with them just to stay on NW. It is SO nice to know that I have a reasonable chance to get where I'm going, AND get an upgrade 90% plus of the time.
