I have a ticket BWI-MSP-YEG (Edmonton, Canada) on Thursday morning. I was wondering what would happen if I asked at checkin if I could standby on a routing via MEM to visit a friend, which would make it BWI-DTW-MEM-MSP-YEG. Are they going to laugh at me? There is availability on all segments.
Sorry if this has been answered before but I did look. Also, where do you find valid routings? I checked the fare rules on nwa.com, itn and expedia but couldn't see them.
There is also BWI-DTW-MEM-IAH-MSP-YEG, but that is too much
