Silver welcome package?
I know this may seem like peanuts to many, but I just made Silver, which is rather an accomplishment for me considering that 95% of the travel was leisure/on my own nickel.
Is there any sort of welcome package I should be expecting? If so, how long does it take to receive it? My status has been updated on the website since I flew my qualifying leg early last month.
Thanks!

Yeah, you should get a welcome package, but it's so close to year end, I wonder if they will wait till Feb. to send your elite package out. I made Silver in Sept. and I think I got my welcome package a few weeks later. Someone here will probably have more details for you...

I obtained Silver on November 4, and received my welcome packet on the Friday after Thanksgiving for 2002. The cover letter indicated that I would receive my welcome for 2003 in February. So it takes about 3 1/2 weeks to get your packet.

I made silver year ago on 12/20/2001 on the flight to Europe. The silver package was waiting for me on 1/8/2002 when I came back.

When I first made Silver my welcome package showed up within a couple of weeks.
In September I made Gold for the first time and my new Gold welcome package also showed up within a couple of weeks. With my next biz trip this weekend I will be Platinum so I am also wondering if I will see the welcome package this year, or in Feb 03.
Regardless, it's more important that the status is reflected on the web site.

Just wrapped up this weeks trip which put me over the Gold mark for the year, that is, after having already gone Plat earlier in the year (e.g. 126K+). I wonder if there are any "perk" kits on the way
.
Joking aside, congratulations on your accomplishment and enjoy the perks, you earned them!
