world business class amenities ?

A note: Yes, I did a search and either got a huge list of discussions about amenity packs of the coupon type, or else got "no match." If you don't like the question, don't answer it. Or, if you don't want the question to stay on the front page, but have an answer, PM me.

Here is the question: I am curious to know what amenities will be provided in World Business Class, NW8662 IAH-AMS, KL 591 AMS-JNB, NW 57 AMS-MEM. Specifically do I need to bring my own toothpaste? Considering the limited space we have in our "Kippie" bags and the length of my journey...

TATL, NW and KL have the same contents... just a different color package.

You can see a number of pictures here when the new WBC Amenity Kit was premiered on FlyerTalk a few years back...

The toothpaste in each kit is enough for only 2 or 3 brushes -- so you won't need additional toothpaste on the plane, but you won't be able to get by very long with the tiny tube provided. No other liquids or gels are provided (unless the chapstick counts).

Actually, it's not Chapice, but ChapIce (and ChapStick, not Chapstick) I didn't use it as a proper noun -- if I put ChapIce, I wonder if anyone would really know what that meant. I actually like ChapIce more than ChapStick.

I would definitely advise you to find space in your "Kippie" bags for a toothbrush and a trial size paste. The paste and brush in these (and other airlines) kits is better not used for dental care

$8,000 and they won't give you $0.10 of toothpaste
Why oh why does NWA focus their savings in the wrong area
(I assume someone will reply - An amenity kit does not matter and the seat is good - But you can get a better seat and a better kit on BA or Virgin)

People will pay for a Premium product - Look at BA their Club fares are always higher by `$1000 than NWA.

NWA Z fares are often $2000-2400 whereas Virgin or BA's are $3600
Move to C or J and you get the same difference

I've always wondered what there average WBC fare is...quite sure it is much lower than many other carriers

So what is this WBC all about exactly? I have never flown outside of the US so these are my impressions.

TATL has coach which is the same as domestic
WBC is TATL version of FC or not? Does FC actually exist?
You get these nifty packs when you fly WBC?

I feel uneducated... ;(

Pretty much right, except TATL (and TPAC, and on some Hawaii routes) you get IFE, even AVOD if you're on a 330. TATL/TPAC you might also get free food in coach.

Domestic F = bigger more comfy seat than coach, with free food that's not bad. You've seen that, I presume.

WBC = real "business class." Seat that goes super far back for sleeping. So much legroom I can't even touch the seat in front of me. Reading light. Outlet for laptop power. Theoretically, even better food than domestic F.

TATL/TPAC, I think so. I don't remember ever getting one on either of the 2 Hawaii flights I did in "old" WBC on the DC-10s. I'm doing a Hawaii flight in "new" WBC on an A330 next week so I'll find out!
