paranoid question
As a newbie to this forum I apologize for a possible redundant issue but is there a system on the ticket that classifies people who are considered to be more desirable flyers than others and by the same token less desirable customers? I mean other than elite statuses.

though i am not quite sure of your question, i will try and offer helpful info.
factors that may affect priority include fare basis, date you purchased the ticket, time checked into airport (i.e. companion upgrade, etc..).

I think the question asks if there is some coding on the ticket (or presumably the boarding pass) that would let airline personnel know that the pax is a royal PITA, a potential terrorist, or someone who tries to get CO miles while flying NW and using the AS kiosks to check in and then wanting to claim NW online booking bonuses, CO elite status miles, and free upgrades for their traveling companions using WN drink coupons.
Elite pax have tickets marked with elite status. Base level pax have tickets marked with ff account numbers only. Elite pax receive better treatment and have special privileges.
Fare codes are listed on the ticket and higher fare pax may get better treatment and special privileges.
First and business pax will get better treatment (give away is the seat number and class of service listed on the boarding pass/ticket)
Pax selected to get randomly screen may have their boarding passes marked with a screening code (usually obvious marking).
Customer PNR records (detail notes on a customer recorded by airline personnel for a variety of reasons) may at times be accessed but usually are not done at the airport as the goal is to get the pax and plane on its way.
Not aware of any secret codes on tickets that would give away PITA pax. Airport personnel usually don't have time to study the ticket codes in detail anyway. They want to confirm your id, your flight and get you on your way.

The random security screening designator is "S-" in front of the passenger's name on the boarding pass, if I recall correctly.
Furthermore, full Y passengers who are not Elites are marked with the word PREMIUM on their boarding passes where NW COLOR ELITE would be.

The worldperks program identifies passengers who have flown consistently with nwa and that is the only way the airport ticket counter and gate agents can differentiate the regular customers from the occassional flier.
I don't know of any other designator except perhaps "Corporate" customers who get VIP service.
Good Luck!

IS there a reason I am paranoid?
Yes , its because my ex-fiance was in the higher end of the food chain of NW management when I broke things off, and sicne then my treatment changed drastically. I was accustomed to the red carpet tx but overnight it became "who cares" .

Do a search for avek00 posts; he has plenty to say about PNR abuse. Hope this isn't the case...your ex would be risking his job, or at least career advancement.

It is possible to have "CORPORATE" + NW-Color Elite designation printed on your boarding pass.
My observation has been that these designators serve more value to the computer's re-book and waitlist priorities than to NW staff. Twice this year I've had to re-book onto oversold flights when my original flights cancelled (DTW->DCA due to mechanical, CMX->DTW to weather). I was surprised that my (then) Corporate Silver Elite got me a boarding pass on both occasions when I knew Plats and Golds were refused on the same flights (lower standby list priority). One DTW-GA explained to me that lifetime flight miles plays into the decision algorithm too.
