Routing help for max miles
Ok gurus- I need 5391 miles out of this one to re-qualify for Gold. Trying to get from MSP to LAX for under $500. Outbound Dec 21 or 22 with return Dec. 28 or 29. I would prefer to not have any overnights other than my time in LA.
I’ve tried on this and the best I found was 7347 mi CO for $545. I’m sure there is a better way.

CO has a 300USD fare MSP-LAX that allows a conx in EWR, netting about 6900

Your dates are for the heaviest travel holidays times, and therefore the higher fares. You expecting to get bumped also?

Thanks for all your help. I've booked MSP-EWR-IAH-LAX-IAH-MSP for over 6100 miles and $324. This plus some CO routing to Vegas via CLE/IAH for a required biz trip should help me cinch my Gold requal. I know I'd be able to lower my cost per mile on the MSP-LAX trip by red-eying back to EWR, but I only need to hit the 50k bogie.
