If this is accurate, and I sense that it is, and, if NW does not match, there will be a massive influx to WorldPerks from OnePass on January 1.

ugh. I hope NWA doesn't match. But with CO and NWA being partners, I am sure "reducing benefits" must be on the spreadsheets and whiteboards of the marketing people.

Vulcan,
I don't think the influx from CO is going to wait till 1/1, it began months ago. It might not have that big of an impact though since many CO elites already flew NW metal, just earned the miles on CO. For me, I switched in June and started earning and flying strictly NW (except for intra-Texas, which NW does not offer, still earn on NW though). I will be NW elite very soon, and only care what Onepass does in how it affects WP.

I will begin switching as soon as I hit CO Plat (I'm at about 65,000 miles now) and my wife will do the same (She's a little behind but has about 7 trips scheduled for the Fall, including a JFK-SIN mileage run over Thanksgiving). We both have been flying mostly NW for 6 months.

Living in NJ, I feel like I'm trapped into using CO out of EWR most of the time.
Assuming that NW does NOT match the silly non-upgradeable TurQey fares of CO, what do you think about flying as a NW elite on CO metal??
I'm a CO elite flying mostly NW metal nowadays, but if NW doesn't match the silly rules, then I will be forced into building up my worldperks account now instead.

This sort of thing is contagious among airlines. I sent the following message to Onepass online CS after talking at length with a Worldperks supervisor who promised to take it up in meetings.
Cast your vote! Let Onepass know and let Worldperks know.
To Onepass CS:
I've heard reliable information that CO plans to stop giving full mileage awards to least expensive fare basis, and will start charging cash for Onepass members who book award travel just a few days ahead.
If this becomes official, I will no longer fly with CO on any fare basis, including coast-to-coast and European travel planned later this year, and will book only NWA/KLM. I am reporting this also to Worldperks senior management. CO must stop this nickel-and-diming of its loyal customers.
