Using WP miles on non-code share CO flight

Someone said I could use WP FF miles on the CO flight from Glasgow to Ewr, even though it is not listed on NW schedule and doesn't come up on the WP award reservation list. It is true? How do I do it? (Planning to go over on NW/KLM and hoping to return from Glasgow)

Both of these threads offer the same advice:
<font face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size="2">If you want the flight and it's available, call NW and ask them to book it.</font>

Does CO only book 11 months in advance?
I have now got my wife and daughter tix for Rome and back from London on 1 Aug.
I want my son to go over with them (I'm going earlier on a paid ticket), but come back with me from Glasgow. However, CO site (new.continental) says I can't see award availability past July 18, 2003. If I wait another month for the Glasgow return to be posted, I worry the trip over to FCO will not be available anymore and that my son (15) will end up traveling alone across the Atlantic - not a result I want.

Is there any way to book return on CO earlier than 11 months before a flight?

It is true. You can use WP miles on CO flights, subject to availability. Because you are redeeming Worldperks miles, you'll have to call NWA WP at 1-800-447-3757 or your Elite line,if you are one. The CO flights do not come up in the award reservation site online, unless they are code shared flights. Just today, I have used my WP miles and ticketed a trip on non-code shared CO flights, by calling the above number.
