Expiring Ticket
I have an un-used ticket that'll be expiring soon. However, I won't be able to travel by then. Has anyone been successful in asking NW to extend it? Thanks!

Many airlines will give you a credit for the value of the unused protion of the ticket if you ask - for use on a future ticket purchase. may be worth a try.

I have actually asked this ? to one of the guys I work with he was a reservation agent for nwa prior to 9/11. He said if you call and ask they usually may be able to extend it another year But only if you call be4 it expires, he said people do this for years 2-5 additional. Hope it works.
