Due to the way my schedule was supposed to go, I had to fly Delta this week. I was "selected" at EVERY check-in, including searching of all my checked luggage. When did this come about? I've never had my checked luggage searched, but I got it for EVERY flight, plus the security check-point full screen, plus the pre-board screen. I've never had it this bad in my life. I love to fly, but this experience put a big damper on that. Are the airlines listening??????? I'm not gonna spend even 1/4 of what I did last year on flights coz what I'm going through, in the name of "safety" is just too **** rediculous!!!! ... Have a nice flight!

Has anyone else noticed how much more intense the Random Security Checks are? Last weekend I had to open my pants and have the ole' crotch area patted down, twice in the same day! In three of my last four trips, I have been chosen for the Random Security checks more than once in the same day...

I am really starting to grow weary of all this.....sorry for the venting.

The worst part is you are delayed boarding the flight...so much for pre-boarding priveleges. And usually all the overhead space is gone by the time I get on...Sigh!

Please let us know which airports tend to be the most problematic. I have not had a date in a long time.

Hell hath no fury like that of an elite frequent flyer in coach.

I am not real smart, but I can lift heavy things.

Yeah, for some of us that may be more of a draw than a deterrent.

by eye. It doesn't involve a computer. In >80% of cases it is the first person up, yesterday I was selected while 3rd in line from the agent.

To avoid being selected simply hang back until they are busy then march up and go!

I figured this out the "hard" way. Twice in the last two months I was first in line to board, and both times I was "randomly" selected for screening. Both times on CO, once from LAS, the other from DEN. I'm a 27-yr old clean-cut caucasian, not that it should matter, but I don't consider myself suspicious.

And both times I was asked to step aside practically before I handed the agent my boarding pass.
