Eugene,
I called Sprint LD the AM when I heard about this and the CSR did not say anything about the 40K promo (you would think he would be able to see this when my account was pulled up) all I was told that the waver would take effect on my December bill.
Will post if I do get the monthly fee removed.
Mike

Mike -- Unfortunately, I've had my share of experiences with Sprint CSR's not knowing what they were talking about or doing, especially when it came to combinability of promos. I certainly hope that your experience in this case will be different and your monthly fee will be removed and your 40K promo will stay intact. Please keep us updated.

Sim,

Unfortunately, my bill does not have the -$2 credit that you mentioned. I guess I'm going to have to mail in a copy of the offer. Thanks for checking into it!!

I guess I really made out. Like all I was told I would pay the 5.95 monthly fee. When I received my enrollment materials the fee stated was 3.95. When I called about this the rep said WP members get a 2.00 discount.
When I got my first bill the monthly fee is only 2.00 and called simple 7 California.
The first 5,000 have posted. Can this get any better? Thanks NW/SPrint

I looked at my November bill and first saw a $5.95 monthly fee. BUT, there was also a credit(discount) of $2 which I was told by a Sprint rep. that's how they're doing the bills to reflect the $3.95 fee. My first 5K miles posted earlier this month.

This is a great plan if you don't do much calling in-state (CA) as ALL your calls are billed @ 7c per minute, anytime. But if you do more than 100 minutes per month in-state calling, you'd do better with the Anytime 7.
BTW, you can change your calling plan to anything once you had signed up with the promo, and still receive the 40k. So says head of promos guy, Brian Palas.

Just brought this up, since I got my Sprint bill today and it showed a credit for the ( $5.95) monthly charges listed as " PCS customer MRC waver " make the 40k even more attractive since I use it for faxes only.

Well a heads up. Checking my account for this 40,000 mile promo, which posted Sprint billing/activity for the first month in December (was delayed posting) and note the miles recorded at 2,500 miles. The first month was suppose to be posted at 5,000 miles! So has anyone come across this situation? Will have to call Sprint on this.
You might want to check your accounts to see if the correct miles are being credited.

The Sprint CSR stated that the 2,500 was in error for another program. They will correct my account for the 5,000 points and let me keep the erroneously posted 2,500 points. Since I got the special 1,000 points a while back this 40,000 promo is now the 43,500 promo.

You know how they say something too good to be true usually is? I just checked my Worldperks account and I have never received any miles from Sprint towards my 40k. I switched in 9/01, so 10k miles should have posted - 5k after the 1st and 4th invoices. I called Sprint and they say that I never signed up for this program and that they will not retro the miles. They didn't even offer anything for their mistake. I filed a complaint with the FCC as an earlier poster suggested. I am furious! They solicited me - I didn't even call for the promotion! Argh!

I signed up in September and have already received 12K miles from this promotion. (I've never had a phone deal go so smoothly.)

Signed up in Sept, received 5K at first bill and 5K at 4th. Plus 1000 bonus mls for local long distance. Bill shows monthly recurring @ $5.95 less NWA credit of $2.00 making a very correct $3.95 per mo.
I avoid this plans $2.00 per min o/seas call charges by using a 10 cent per min 10 10 carrier. Works great.
So far so good after a shaky start.

Edited for typo.
