This has been so frustrating! My wife and I have been planning a nice end-of-the-year vacation and needed about 6,000 WP miles to reach the necessary level for award tickets. In late June, I spotted a good fare for same-day travel from ORF to MSY on July 7. The base miles plus the 4,000 miles I would net for booking online for the first time would push us over the top. Not so fast!

First, the flights were NW numbers and tickets but CO metal. I should've known that was trouble. The outbound segments posted within three days, with the requisite miles. However, the inbound portion only posted this past week (Aug. 16) after mailing and emailing twice the necessary boarding passes, ticket numbers, etc!

The most frustrating thing, though, is the slow posting of the bonus miles. The flights alone won't push me over the top, so I'm desperate for the bonus! After a couple of calls to the WP Service Center, I've been told that any bonus miles should post at the same time as flight miles. If not, email the nwa.com Support Center. I've now done that and have been told by them that it could take four to six more weeks! Is there anything I can do to speed the process along? I'm afraid that any more waiting will result in lost award seats! Thanks for any advice you can give.
