Making status during flight
During my next flight I will make Elite status (25K flown) and hence be eligible for bonus miles. Anyone know if I will get the 50% bonus miles on the qualified portion of the flight and should I hassle them about this.
I see the July 4th fares have arrived, but can't really take advantage of them from pdx.

You can expect elite bonuses on the flight AFTER your "qualifying" flight, i.e. the one that takes you past 25,000.
You can try to push the envelope on this, but I don't expect success.
