Cyber--Savers??
I was hoping for a DC-DTW CyberSaver for this weekend, and I got my wish.... kind of.
DCA-DTW $179 online, $199 by phone for the 45 min. flight.
United has $258RT IAD-Munich.
I can earn miles on the UA Munich fare, but I can't on the NW fare. Something's wrong with this picture.
Sorry... I had to vent.
=========================================
Greensboro is 60 miles farther... and $50 cheaper!

The something that is wrong is Northwest. Just say no to Cybersavers without mileage credit and you'll be happier. I certainly am.

Or you could fly to Chicago on UA for the same price, give or take a few dollars.
But we all know NW doesn't abuse the near monopoly it enjoys at its hubs...
Come over to MUC I'd say.

I guess I'm upset at the combination of:
-- no mileage credit
-- Cyber Fares that are now based on the _market_ not the distance.
Their generic CyberSaver fare examples list $119 MSP-BWI. How does $179/$199 DCA-DTW fit into this scheme... other than hub advantage? Fuel prices haven't gone up _that_ much.

Re. Going to Munich, I went to school in Michigan.... I guess I brought it upon myself.
(I had to deal with the touchy MSP-DTW route for years.)
