PIT - CSG
Hi NWA travelers!
Traveling from PIT to CSG (Columbus, GA) it always involves traveling via DTW and MEM. No surprises there, but do a majority of Mid-Atlantic and Northeast customers experience more hub connections than other mainline carriers traveling to the south? If so, what is unique about NWA's system that makes this so? What would have to happen for NWA to offer direct PIT-MEM flights? I know that enough pax would be one reason, but what else?
thanks for any info ...

theorbo - I will pass along your suggestion to route planning.
What you are seeing is probably a function of where NW has (or
does not have) route strength. Certainly, # of pax is a factor.
So is availability of aircraft to fly the route and how the
route can be fit into the rest of the network schedule.
Route Planning is a very secretive group! New routes being
considered are a VERY closely guarded secret for competitive
reasons. That's about all I can tell you!
