Redeeming Points - Help!
Hello -
I've got quite a dilemma. I don't want to fly NWA anymore, and I have about 10K in miles to use. Are there any hotel or whatever partners that I can transfer these points to, or cash them in for "stuff" like you can with other programs? I donated a bunch of miles (40K) last year, and thought - okay, so the rest of my points will expire before the end of 1999 (659 points). Wrong! So, in combination with Long Distance and some car rentals, I now have 10K of points, and I want something!
Thanks for the help in advance!

You can earn miles on Northwest by flying on Continental now. You just give them your WorldPerks number. Plus you can still rack up miles with the other ways to earn that you mentioned. It shouldn't take you long to get to the 20K needed for a free ticket. Also, I wouldn't give up on Northwest yet - things are bound to get better - I'll bet they start trying harder to keep us happy.

If you have a Diners Club card, you can transfer 20,000 points (or 10,000 miles). That way, you could redeem a reward with your Northwest miles on NW or CO (low season, that is). NW is great for last minute miles. I had to go somewhere the next day and was able to use my miles and an e-ticket with NW.
