Looking for explaination
Can anyone explain this. I was schedule to go out of DCA to MSP last Friday afternoon at 12 and way flying on a B fare. On Thursday I changed it give the weather to the 8:30 flight. I did not sleep Thursday and got up early Friday changed to the 6:45 AM flight. I checked in the night before for the 8:30 flight and had a boarding pass. I reprinted the boardin pass when I arrive and found that I was now on a Coach Select Bonus Fare. ^ So my question about Coach Select is it based on the fare on based on the flight or based on the fact that I checked in at the kiosk which I almost never do.

It's your B fare you're flying on. Especially if you didn't make FC upgrade, you should see that you have 500 extra miles in your account tomorrow

I got 750 miles, but I had a B fare going out and did not get coach select when I checked in for the 8:30 flight. Is it because the 6:30 flight was a Coach Select Flight or because I used the kisok. I did get the Plat 1K as I was no upgraded also besides the 750 miles

Well I often fly a bunch of B fares and occasionally a Y during the year but I only see it a few times per year. If you have a high fare sometimes and I cannot figure out when or how you get Coach Select Bonus.
It gives you:
1. 750 miles
2. A PF on your boarding pass so you can board with Elite (as if that matters for me)
3. Occasionally WP pass
Beats me how it happens, I just wanted to know since for me it was not the fare as I did not get it with OLCI but it seemed to be the flight.
