Bye bye apple bars?

On 1240 ORD-DTW this morning in F, and the F/A brought around a box/tray with assorted snacks instead of that nasty apple bar. Had bananas, a couple types of granola bars and some other things. Anyone notice this on other flights? Is this a permanent change or just a test?

The testing for this on shorter flights started in early September. It seems to be hitting more flights now.

Thanks - I had forgotten about that test. I was 1/2 asleep this AM so didn't select a snack. Let's hope for my EUA for Thursday and another tasty snack basket instead of nuts ^

I had the expanded snack basket on a flight from DTW-DCA yesterday. It is a great improvement! Good riddance to the apple bars, etc!

Those bars were the only thing I did not like about NWA.

I had the expanded basket on a 4pm JFK-DTW today. Quite a lot of selection - chips, nuts (I think), candy of some sort, Oreos, apples and Banana.

Bravo Northwest for offering fruit!

Or it could have come with Radiocycle's meetings last week to discuss, one of which I believe was a discussion of the crappy apple granola bar =)

lets hope!

This morning going DTW-LGA the new snack mixture even included blueberry muffins. The selection was pretty good both directions, and I did notice some apple bars in there too.

What did not impress me was the cardboard box used as a serving tray!
