Question Security Question - Running Shoes

I apologize if this question should be posted somewhere else.

What is the latest TSA requirement for shoes? I typically wear Nike running shoes that have pressurized air in a urethane bag in the heels. From the outside, though, it looks like gel.

Will I be able to wear these on my upcoming Northwest flight (my attempt at making this thread relevent to the NW board)?

Thanks

They have not said anythign about shoes, other then they must be taken off and go through the x-ray scanner.

Actually, they have specifically addressed shoes with gel; yogimax, you will be fine. From TSA's website:

Gel shoe inserts - Gel shoe inserts are not permitted, but shoes constructed with gel heels are allowed and must be removed and screened.

Gel-filled bras are permitted as well.

Thanks, Clarence. That certainly answers the question. I think I'll print it out and take it to the airport just in case...
