EUG Sweeps...?
How often does the NWA system check for electronic upgrades? My reservation is for fewer than 24 hours...plenty of first class is available, I am SE and am hoping to get upgraded automatically...any info?

When I get upgraded when the ticket is purchased less than 24 hours before, it's either at OLCI (online check in), at a kiosk, or at the gate. There is some discussion on this board about whether to check-in right at the 24 hour mark or wait until you arrive at the airport, so I don't know what is the right answer.

The EUA tends to run 1x/day, seemingly in the evening.
What is your source for showing plenty of availabilty? If you post your flight info, perhaps someone will check the loads for fun.
As an aside, did you do OLCI yet? If so, you may get upgraded during the check-in process if there are any R seats now open.

Either I get upgraded at 3 days out or then at the gate. Occasionally I am very surprised with an upgrade at OLCI.
