Question about NW award flight on DL metal if DL liquidates?

A question for all the gurus on FT:

I have an Worldperks award ticket for ATL-OGG in first class this July. 3 of the 4 segments are on Delta. If Delta is forced to stop operations before then what can I expect to happen to my reservation?

Since it is an award using Worldperks miles, should I expect them to move me to NW flights (even if there is no award bucket availability).

I know that paid tickets are generally honored by other airlines in the event of a shutdown, but does this apply to award bookings as well?

Thanks in advance for your help!!!

Bankruptcy has nothing to do with this. This is about what happens to his partner award ticket if DL liquidates.

CO will almost certainly not take this booking if they don't have award seats available, which is not likely in first to OGG at this point. The don't have anything to do with this transaction.

NW would obviously be the only player in this situation to work with you, since they booked you on DL using their currency. However... don't count on them opening up award first class seats. The bare minimum you can hope for is a miles redeposit for no fee (assuming you're not plat, in which case you wouldn't pay the fee anyway).
