Please correct me if I am mistaken, but does not NW prioritize UGs first by status than fare class? Thanks.

Thanks for bringing that up. Remember that CO had planned to phase out the online bonus all together but pressure from the FF'ers, amongst other things, made management reconsider. And there we have the quintessential difference as to what I hinted to earlier. CO worked with us to produce a product that offered both a stick and a carrot (to use a wise FT'ers analogy). NW seems to get the stick part right but forgets about the carrot. If you recall, there was a thread I started here a few days ago to try and brainstorm some ideas that would allow NW's most recent change, CC, to transform into a win/win scenario for both the airline and us.

If NW listens and tweaks the program based upon input from FF'ers (to that extent, SATlawyer had an excellent idea, IMHO) than I'll will certainly reconsider my opinion of them.

Yes, the EQM issue has stepped on toes - especially those of folks who are required to go cheap and use their companies travel agent. I don't have a good answer for that (I don't even know if one exists) but at the last CO DO management said they were pleased percentage of customers using co.com (and they hinted the EQM policy was part of this).

Here here! Also, FWIW, CO's management has taken the time twice now to host us in Houston, listen to what we have to say and tell us what they think. Granted, not all the news was good - but at least they took the time to hear us out. NW planning anything like that?

Well said. (FWIW, flaws in OP drove me to split my travel between UA and CO this year.)

If that's the case, than I'd say you've made the right choice. Good point about the IFE too - can't tell you how captivated I was by Chicken Little.

Where did the thread go?

There was a trial balloon floated in this very forum last fall. Searched under "enhancements" and other words, but the entire thread has disappeared. The trial balloon was shot down at the time by FT'ers, but clearly NW did not listen. Be thankful they are not charging for ice (yet).
