problems getting awards even using PerksPass?

I started my NWA world perks bank in the 80s. Even then NWA was notoriously difficult to get redemptions on. The one time I did get one it was for a flight TPA-HNL-TPA. What I got was TPA-MEM-DTW-MSP-LAX-HNL, departing at 7am arriving HNL at 2am, a 25 hour flight! Coming back was a little better HNL-LAX-MSP-TPA.

So I decided enough of this, save for a rule buster and get what you want the way you want it. Now as I near the 200k mark for Europe WBC, I noticed the language has shifted over the years, with respect to the double miles award levels. Originally read "bypass all capacity controls (original rulebuster)" to something like "increased seating availability". The former clearly states if there is a seat you just ask for it. The latter implies that you still may not get a seat.

Has anyone had problems redeeming at the perkpass level? IE the flight had rev seats, you were willing to pay double the miles, and you still could not get a redemption.

Plugging in random dates for FLL-CDG in the summer, it seems the PerkPass WBC awards are readily available. I even saw one WBC PerkSaver date for FLL-CDG in July and a few in August as well. This was searching as a base Worldperks member, searching as a Plat, the number of PerkSaver dates improved considerably. Honestly, I'd call the agents and see what magic they can work as far as PerkSaver awards. It's well worth the possible 50,000 - 100,000 mile savings.

LBJ, you were doing this as a NW Platinum though, right? That might make a significant difference for the OP.

As I stated, I first tried as a base member (my wife) before logging in as myself. I didn't have any trouble finding PerkPass availability as a base member.

Rulebuster WBC used to book into "C" and not "J"
Not sure what PP is booking into these days.
If a "C" wasn't there you were not going to go Rulebuster no matter how many "J" seats were for sale
