EUA problems on Continental?
I actually posted a similar message to this on Continental's forum but received no replies. I thought I'd give it a shot here:
I read a rumor on CO's forum that NW elites with the 12-digit number never get EUA'd on Continental because CO's EUA system has a problem reading these accounts. As a NW plat I have never received an EUA (I have gotten a few last second battlefields), yet a friend of mine (with the 9 digit Worldperks number) routinely gets EUA'd at the 5 day window.
I suppose the simplest way of solving this matter is to ask this question: Is there anyone here with a 12-digit WP account that can definitively say that they have been EUA'd on CO metal at the appropriate upgrade window? Or this just another of those "internet rumors"?

Complete internet rumor. I have a 12 digit number and have had several EUA upgrades on CO.

In a recent conversation with the person who helped me, the problem has been fixed. However, she's going to eyeball my reservation during the EUA process to double-check. Unfortunately, that's not until May.
I wonder if your NW number was getting caught in the same trap. It's supposed to be fixed now...

9- or 12-digit WorldPerks number on the reservations or not, I've failed to receive an EUA and any upgrade on CO over 7 or so segments since January 1st, 2005.
Just my luck, I suppose.

Last year I never once had an EUA on CO w/ my 12-digit NW number, and there were CLEARLY flights where it should have EUA'd (i.e. IAH-MID with completely empty F cabins both ways up until checkin). I would call, the space was available, but EUA wouldn't pick it up when it ran. This was definitely a problem last year and not an internet rumor.
But this year, I've already had a couple EUAs (my first ones ever), so yes, the problem has been fixed.
