DL Segment Clarification

I'm sure this has been discussed, but I couldn't find anything. I know you don't earn elite qualifying segments for Delta flights. However...

Does the same apply to NW-coded, DL-operated flights? I am thinking not.

Also, do you get segments for a DL-coded, NW-operated flight? Here I would think you do, but want clarification from someone who has done it. I'm finding fares much cheaper on NW if I book it with the DL code.

According to the phone agent (who had me on hold for a while trying to find the answer), segments are based on who operates the flight. So, yes for DL-coded, NW-operated flights and no for NW-coded, DL-operated flights.

Should I find something different after I fly, I'll post the result.

That answer makes good sense, since all EQM earning is based on metal (not code).

What it's coded as has no impact on what it earn, only what it's operated as
