EUA when both Pax are Elite
I searched, and maybe my skills aren't what they should be because everything I found refered to Elite Upgrades when only one of the pax are elite. So here is my question
If there are two passengers on a PNR who are both elite, but different levels, in this case one Gold and one Silver, does the EUA system upgrade both passengers? If it does do they clear at the higher or lower members status? If it doesn't then is this a "glitch" that should be fixed in the future.
I know that if you have one person who isn't elite the EUA system just ignores you. To get your upgrade you have split the PNR's. However, the above case I have never dealt with before, but will. As both of us are entiteld to the EUA if available, I want to make sure that both of us are given our fair shots at the upgrades. Due to some other issues I would like to keep both of us on the same PNR if at all possible. (More to do with a client billing requirements, and two person travel).
Thanks

I would say to split the reservation if at all possible.
My wife and I are both gold, but always separate our reservations. If we don't and there is only one upgrade available when EUA runs, both of us will be skipped over.
In the case of one gold and one silver, EUA will process to the lowest status, in this case being silver. Split the reservation so that the gold has a better chance of being upgraded!
