Using MH between TPE - PVG

I was wondering if anyone has successfully used NWA miles to travel between TPE and PVG using MH and if anyone could share insight into their routing and iten.

Thanks.

If you check MH's website, search for TPE-PVG on their flight schedule, it doesn't return any results, which (I think) means they don't publish a fare for that route.

I was trying to fly NGO-PEK on MH, and I couldn't do it because MH doesn't publish any fares between those cities. I ended up using NW actually.

So, you could try China Southern (CZ), Korean (KE) or NW for that route. NW serves both cities, but might not publish a fare between them, although I suspect they do. Better to ask a NW agent. Unfortunately, I think MH is out of the question. Also, be aware that KE charges 50,000 miles for an intra-Asia award ticket.

Thakns for the suggestions!

Actually, I once priced out NW TPE-NRT-PVG for 20k in Y and 30k in J, which was an incredibly good deal.

That was few years ago when NW still operated TPE-NRT instead of TPE-KIX.

Can you try TPE-KIX-NRT-PVG? I know it is a ridiculous route but if Taiwan allows direct flight ....

You might be able to convince the elite line agent that you want to ticket from TPE-PVG with a stopover in KUL. Make your stopover 2 hours or something. It's worth a call, and probably worth a hang-up and call again if the first agent says you can't.

Otherwise, just get 2 award tickets on NW. TPE-NRT and NRT-PVG. 40k miles. Not the best option, but it would work...and still cheaper than KE by 10k.
