Reaching Elite Level
Ok I looked for previous threads and I couldnt find it though I know this has probably been discussed. DO you get Elite Benefits for the flight that takes you to the level of miles or is it the flight after.
Thanks as always!

You never get elite benefits for the flight that makes you elite.
But you could have a flight after you've already flown your 25,000th mile (or 30th segment) where the benefits don't yet kick in.
Elite status only becomes active one calendar day after the miles from your qualifying flights post to your account. For NW metal flights where everything goes normally, the miles usually post 2 days after the flight. So if you fly your 25,000th mile on Monday, the miles will usually post on Wednesday, and your elite status will be active on Thursday. Any flight before that Thursday will not be eligible for elite benefits.
