Worlds collide-EQM EQS at same time

Just last week, I hit 50k EQMs on the same flight I hit 60 EQSs. What are the chances of that happening? All domestic crap to'boot! To bad there isn't a "double" Gold.

And on top of that, when I checked out of the Courtyard that morning, it put me at 76 nights, requal for Plat w/Marriott. Now that's just too weird for all that to happen.

Then I checked my # of rentals with Nat'l..2 short of Emerald Exec..oh well, that's probably for the better, I really would have been scared if I hit that on the same trip.

My recommendation is to liquidate all of your assets and invest 100% in lottery tickets immediately.

Nice!

That's hilarious timing for everything! I've actually been hoping to hit 50k EQMs at the same time I hit 30 EQSs so that I could hit Gold for miles with only hitting Silver for segments. I passed 50k EQMs just on Sunday but (unfortunately??) I've only got 25 EQSs. I wonder what the average is for number of segments to 50k EQMs. And what the record fewest/most to 50k is!

I've just gone over 75K EQM and it's only on 37 EQS.

I'll probably be Gold by year's end off of only 16 segments.

Platinum in Four Trips

I got a better one. I had to go to from California to Europe 4 times over the last 2 months on business trips. "Y" and "H" class tickets on COA and NWA (via DTW and IAH) with 50% Y/H-Class Elite Qualification Bonus really add up.

Hopefully NWA will be around for me to enjoy it.

78 k EQM only 49 segments. A whole lot of DTW-LAX segments that racked up the miles.

So far I'm 61,421 eqm with 38 segments. Will make plat by end of year with marathon mr over labor day weekend and one more trip before y/e.

Hmmmm, very interesting data here. I'm curious if I have the highest EQM/EQS ratio... 89,000 EQM off 26 segments.

I think code7700 has you beat by platinum with 4 trips (Y/H/B booked) from Cali to Europe in two months. That darn 50% EQM bonus did it for them

Afraid not - I'm at 101,000 EQM on 8 EQS so far this year (slightly cheating since some of the miles come from my 10 delta segments, so really 101,000 EQM in 16 segments).

That's pretty much how I make Plat every year (although I missed it in 2002-2004--like a lot of folks, I was too poor!): Four trips to Europe on upgraded B or Y tix. Mine are for fun, though. I have a new, three-year-old tradition of spending a few days by myself in London between Christmas and New Year's to top off my account.

Its a good thing they don't only count segments. I am currently at:

141,000 EQM
34 EQS

And that is with out any flying in July and August so far. I just hope everything is ok as I have a NGO-LAX-DTW flight on the 20th. Here's hoping that the planes are at least flying.
