Was scheduled to fly out this morning (16May)- change of plans moved my trip out a week to the 23rd (changed my flites 3 days ago).
Well, lo and behold at 5am this morning my phone is ringing- it's the happy lady from NW telling me that she's sorry, but FC is full on my flite this morning, but I'm on the airport waitlist. Also got the email.
Whassup with this? I can't believe that the EUA system still sees me flying today.
Or, were they just calling to say it's a good thing I changed my mind cause F/C was full today??

I got the same fun wake up calls from NWA recently. The first thing I did (after cursing at my phone due to the early wake up time) was to go online, and change my Phone Contact info (where you can specify the hours that you wish to be notified regarding upgrades). Here is how you can do it:
nwa.com>Worldperks>Elite Program>Elite Upgrade Notification>Contact Info.
nwa.com>Worldperks>Elite Program>Elite Upgrade Notification>Contact Info.

Check your "My NWA Info" status. Got to be careful about what your settings are set at.

Last week, I got the text message stating that my flight was ontime about 30 seconds after I sat down in my seat on that particular flight. This thread reminded me to go in and change my options to be notified only for irr. ops.

Back when I was a SE and had my profile set to 6-12 p.m. Hawaiian Standard Time, any time I'd be up in the mainland, my upgrade (or lack thereof) calls would come at 3 a.m. I get only e-mail notifications now.
