How does this work, if anyone knows?
Thanks.

That was also the case for the previous similar NW promotions- Mile-a-Rama/Palooza/Mania etc. See also T&C #5, only NW/Pinnacle/Mesabe & NW coded KLM flights listed there.

I think it is a targeted promotion. Try signing up again.
It is targeted to people that fly!

Re: your difficulties signing up -- it says the following at the offer URL:
"You must be an active recipient of NWA E-mail through January 31, 2005. If you are not currently receiving NWA E-mail, subscribe now and then register for Mile-Zilla."
Are you signed up for NWA E-mail?

Whats the point of all these miles if you can't redeem them for WBC seats
just my 2 cents as a non elite NW member. I've quit collecting their miles.

The first promotion only....
Once again the T&C say that the first promotion one registers for gets the credit for an activity. So if a better promotion comes along for a specific route or something else that produces a nice bonus due to a flight itinerary, it appears that your flights won't count if you register for this one. This topic has been discussed before but I don't recall any exceptions. Have I got this right and does anyone anticipate better promos?

I did a quick review and it looks like the only way to REALLY get any bonus miles is to fly. Not that this is wrong, but just wanted to undersand what it looks like. All those other activities get small points that really do not conver to much of anything unless it just happens to push you over into the next earnings range.
For example, buy a club membership, earning +/- 1,500 miles
Get a new VISA card, get 1,000 miles.
Not exactly something to get excited about.
But, if you fly regular on NW anyway, you can get some nice bonus miles.

You CAN enroll in the new Promo AND earn Plat Points
RWW,
You can participate in the new promotion!
Platinum Points is a year long bonus promotion for Plat Elites and does not count against the other promotions, that means you can earn Plat Points AND the up to 100K in the new promotion too.
Good luck!

Better than nothing, but the other promotions were easier to get rewards on, like michealr stated.
