Quick turnaround in LAN

I am considering doing an IAD to LAN mileage run. With the DC bonus going on, the fact I am a new member and will get a 5K bonus as well, it turns out to be 8500 miles for $79 - not a bad deal

The flight into LAN arrives at 2:20 p.m. and leaves at 2:50 p.m. Having never been there before, is that a legitimate turnaround? NWA.com will ticket it, but I want to be sure before I buy the ticket.

Thank you in advance

Shouldn't be a problem. There isn't more than 10 gates at the airport.

Most likely it will be the same plane and crew.

That's what I was thinking, since those LAN-IAD flights don't connect with anything. But that is a pretty quick turnaround time for NW. Sounds more like Southwest!

MapleLeaf - officially making your switch to NW?

Yeah I am leaving LH due to the radical change to their program and have switched to NW and UA. I was going to be 100% NW but with the DC promo going on for UA, it was too hard to resist... who else is gonna give me a free RTW ticket?

I am Gold Elite right now on NW (status match), and will do MR's if necessary to at least Silver Elite for next year. If I wasn't doing the UA RTW promo, I would be Gold or Platinum Elite for sure.

It will be the same plane. NW doesn't use jet bridges for CRJ's in LAN. It is a small, but nice airport with only 4 jet gates, 3 for NW and 1 for UAX.

Too bad you missed out on the DCA-SMF for $99 RT.

Just be ready to explain to the crew what you're doing. Had an unpleasant experience on Mesaba once this way (at DAY, IIRC).
