Cheap eats in Copenhagen

I have 72 hours in Copenhagen in September. It sounds like a rather expensive city, especially for food. Any recommendations for dining without spending a fortune? I'll be staying at the Imperial Hotel, if that helps narrow the location down somewhat.

The quick answer: there are no cheap eats in Copenhagen.

There is a Fakta supermarket right next to your hotel, where fruits and other healthy food can be had without paying a fortune. Do not buy any bottled water, the free water on tap in your hotel room is fine, and in fact studies have shown that most of the time it is healthier than the bottled water.

There are "low budget" restaurants all over the city but when the price goes down so does the quality.
