Need advice for CPH, ARN AMS

Middle aged couple planning our first trip to Copenhagen, (arrive 6-25 on an overnight flight so I'm sure we will be jet lagged and leave for Oslo mid afternoon 6-27). Staying in Oslo for a conference (we've been there before) and leaving for Stockholm on 7-1 (should we take the train?). Heading to AMS on 7-4 for 3 nights.
Looking for advice on where to stay (have Marriott, Hyatt and Chase points), things to do, places to eat, etc. We might be willing to splurge on a hotel if people think there is an outstanding hotel that makes our trip that much more memorable.
Basically, we'd like some help in planning our trip. I think with our limited time in each city, we are probably better off staying in the city and not doing many excursions.
Thanks in advance for anyone's help and advice.

Hi,

I have been to Stockholm a few times ( stayed at the hilton)
I think there is a Sheraton and Courtyard in stockholm ( maybe more advice on the Marriott forum)

The obvious choices for a few days would be
(1) The Vasa Museum( 17th century sailing ship restored after sinking on its maiden voyage
(2) Skeppsholmen and the waterfront
(3) Exploring the old Gamla Stan ( and the Royal palace)
(4) Cruise of the stockholm archipelago

Amsterdam
Explore the Canals, museums and art galleries

Regards

Id usually take the train from Oslo to Stockholm but its just long enough as a journey (5h30 ish) to make flying an option.

Thanks. I think we are leaning towards taking the train.
