Copenhagen hotel recommendation?
We (two adults, two children 8, 10) have one night in Copenhagen next April during a 20 hour layover. Seeking area and hotel recommendations to allow us to see a bit of Copenhagen during this one night in town.

I would suggest the Clarion CPH (airport) hotel as it's convenient to drop off/keep luggage and get going. And between the trains and the Metro connectivity at CPH airport, staying at the Clarion CPH hotel works out for such layovers while visiting regional attractions around Copenhagen. Also, it has rooms that can hold 2 adults + 2 children.

We stayed at Villa Copenhagen in August. Right across from central train station, so very easy to get to from airport. Also across from Tivoli Gardens, which could be good for kids. Room was very nice, if small, and one of the best included hotel breakfast buffets I've ever seen.

We stayed at the Scandic in Sydhavn. It was great! We chose it because it was very good for wheelchair access. It was a really good choice.. We had a rental car, so it only took about 15 minutes to get to the airport. Of course, it has to be dropped off, and a shuttle, or walk, to the terminals. I believe that there is a train station nearby although we didn’t use it this time. I don’t know if it’’s best for you, but there are other locations that might work.

On a somewhat related note, I am wondering whether I should use my Danish debit card to pay at a Copenhagen hotel for my trip.com reservation this summer. The dollar is now worth fewer Danish kroner than back then, so it takes more dollars to match the local amount. Of course I don't know if trip.com or the hotel needs to stick with the US credit card that I specified at the time of the reservation.
