Just get one of those European round pin plugs which you can buy at Radio Shack. Portable equipments, such as laptops, Ipods, cameras, smart phones, LCD projectors, etc., can be plugged to an outlet without a need for a transformer. You will however need a one if you're bringing an American 110v blow dryer, curler, steamer, iron, television, refrigerator, dishwasher, etc.

Before you do that, make SURE that especially your laptop etc works on 230 v. The vast majority do, a few % of them do not. Trust me, you do not want to feed a 110v device 230v ;-)
