I wasn't able to find a thread to answer this question--
Is there any way to go from JFK Terminal 3 (Delta) to Terminal 4 (Virgin) without leaving security?

No can do.
The only terminal where you can transfer post security is Delta at Terminal 2/3.
Even with the way American is operating, you need to re-clear security if you're going between terminal 8 & 9.
