Shorter Buildings Likely to Replace Twin Towers
NEW YORK -- (AP) -- The chairman of the group charged with rebuilding at the World Trade Center said Thursday it is unlikely a tall skyscraper will be built to replace the Twin Towers.
Instead of 110-story buildings, the trade center site should feature smaller skyscrapers, said John Whitehead, head of the Lower Manhattan Redevelopment Corp.
